Oak Street Bridge Meeting Set: Thursday's Morning Report

The weekend is getting close; get one day closer with these important items from Patch.

 

1. The Oak Street Bridge Community Working Group will meet Thursday for the fourth time at the Katherine Legge Memorial lodge in Hinsdale. The meeting gets going at 7 p.m. The group will get a project update and a stakeholder workshop will be held. 

2. Wine events dot Patch's events calendar Thursday. As always, there's the All Wined Up free tasting from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Clarendon Hills. Also at 5 p.m. in Clarendon Hills, Vino van Gogh visits Scapa Italian Kitchen. Finally, there's an Italian wine tasting at The Village Cellar in Hinsdale beginning at 6 p.m. (If you're going to go to all three, make sure someone's drinking water.) 

3. Skies will be sunny Thursday and the high will reach 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Thursday night, mostly clear skies and a low of 49 are expected. 

4. This morning on Patch is an item on Hinsdale Central's high place in US News & World Report's annual high school rankings.

5. Thursday in Hinsdale Central Red Devils varsity sports: Girls Track at Downers North Sectional, 4:30 p.m.; Girls Softball at Proviso West, 4:30 p.m.; Boys Baseball vs. Addison Trail at Hinsdale Central, 4:30 p.m.; Boys Volleyball vs. Willowbrook at Hinsdale Central, 6 p.m.; Girls Soccer vs. Benet at Benedictine University, 6:30 p.m.
