When we drove past the Shell at Main & 63rd last night the sign showed 4.129. This morning shortly after 11am it was up at 4.199, but about an hour later it was back down to 4.129. That's fickle...

It's no different than the airlines. One carrier will institute a fair increase of $5 to $10 one-way. If no one else matches the increase within the next day or two, the carrier will roll back prices.
