So thanks to Pete DiCianni's ego and specious "I'll let the voters decide" credo, Elmhurst and DuPage County taxpayers now fund a legal fight concerning his conflict of interest in simultanously holding two elected positions, with two different constituencies; a status that has already been advised as illegal by DuPage County's attorney, and which will be changed by a bill now being pushed through the state assembly. Just want to make sure there's a clear understanding here. Illinois politics continues the downward spiral.

There was much consternation at the polling place I worked at yesterday as Democrats had to vote a Republican ballot in order to cast a vote for their candidate who was "running as a republican". Running "as" a Republican, but in name only.

Not electing Jim Long is the hugest mistake this district could ever make. This man is the opitomy of what the Republican party used to be about. Good conservative values. Now all we have are wishy washy RINO's. Sad...

Congratulations to all of them, those elected and those who made their case to the voters. They invested their energy and their treasure in making a case to serve. Give them a chance to demonstrate the values they did as candidates. It was an excellent field.

Congrats Mr. Noonan. I know the more people get to know you will understand that what you stand for is the best possible thing for Dupage. The voters and the people you serve will be greatly impressed by your dedication and your deep interest in the issues at hand.
