As motorists prepare to fuel up and hit the open road this weekend they may feel a little less of a squeeze on their wallet at the pump.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the United States is $3.383, down 18 cents from a year ago. Prices are even lower from a month ago by 26 cents.
And while the average gallon in Illinois is currently costs just over $3.53, according to IllinoisGasPrices.com, one station in Hinsdale is selling at a lower price.
Patch's "Commute" page, which pulls Mapquest gas prices, has the BP station at 149 E. Ogden Ave. charging $3.50 a gallon.
