The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) has released its 2012 high school football schedules, and Hinsdale Central's West Suburban Silver slate is tough as always. 

The Red Devils open with nonconference games against St. Charles North and Leyden on Aug. 24 and Aug 31. They beat both of those teams in their opening two games last year.

They open conference play at Proviso West on Sept. 7 (Red Devils lost to Panthers 30-22 in 2011), and they play conference powerhouse Glenbard West at home the following week (Red Devils lost to Hilltoppers 45-14 in 2011). 

Two rivalry games follow against Lyons Township on the road and Hinsdale South at home. The Red Devils recorded a 33-10 Homecoming win over the Lions in 2011 and beat the Hornets 28-7.

The Red Devils last three opponents are Oak Park River Forest, Downers Grove North and York.

Hinsdale Central finished 6-4 in 2011 and made the 8A playoffs. The 2012 season will be head coach Rich Tarka's second at the helm.
