Hinsdale Celebrates 4th of July: PHOTOS
Did you take photos at Wednesday's parade and festival? Add them to this gallery!
The Hinsdale Independence Day parade marched down Garfield, across downtown, and back up Grant Street Wednesday morning and featured all the usuals: Uncle Sam, marching bands, and Little Leaguers.
Perhaps the most notable participant in 2012 was Ron Raidy, who made a celebrated return after suffering a severe heart attack while marching as a Civil War re-enactor in 2011. Patch spoke to Raidy and his story is here!
After the parade Wednesday, the Family Festival in Burlington Park took place, where Rotary Club of Hinsdale turtle races took place. In the main event, Hinsdale Police Department Chief Brad Bloom's turle beat Hinsdale Fire Department Chief Ron Ronovsky.
