Sarah Warren, a member of the Glen Ellyn Speed Skating Club, will represent the United States at the inaugural Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, Austria.

Warren, a 15-year-old skater from from Willobrook, will compete in short track speed skating. The games will be held Jan. 13-22. She is a sophomore at Hinsdale South High School.

Warren won the spot on Team USA to represent her country in Short Track by being the top female qualifier at the American Cup meet in Cleveland earlier this year.

Warren began speed skating with the Glen Ellyn Club six years ago after getting her start on ice playing hockey. She also competes in long track speed skating, high school track, and club soccer.
