Halloween House-Egging

Someone in a white SUV threw eggs at a home in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue at 8:36 p.m. Police said the car was heading westbound on Ridge when the incident occurred.

TUESDAY, OCT. 30

UPS Packages Stolen

A resident from the 0-100 block of Waverly Avenue reported at 12:38 p.m. that $398 worth of items delivered by UPS were stolen from outside his home before he was there to pick them up. 

Inside the packages were video converters. Police say UPS delivered the packages at noon on Oct. 12. There are no suspects.

SUNDAY, OCT. 28

Man With Revoked License Gets DUI

John Abruzzo, 25, of the 100 block of south Cass Avenue, Westmont, was charged with DUI after he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop near the intersection of Stonegate Road and Ogden Avenue at 3:37 a.m., and refused a breath test, police said.

Abruzzo was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while license revoked and improper lane use.

SATURDAY, OCT. 27

Trespassing on Train Tracks

Deborah Wilson, 45, of the 1700 block of west Woods Drive, Arlington Heights, was charged with criminal trespassing after police said they saw her walking back and forth across the BNSF tracks behind the 400 block of Burlington Avenue at 3:28 p.m. She was uncooperative when police arrived, according to the report. 

Smashing Pumpkins

A resident form the 300 block of Ridge Avenue reported at 9:55 p.m. that pumpkins on his front porch were smashed.

THURSDAY, OCT. 25

More UPS Deliveries Snagged

A resident from the 500 block of Carlysle Drive reported several packages delivered by UPS were stolen from outside the home while the resident was away from Oct. 19 to Oct. 21. 

The packages were worth a combined $40.
