Lights Cut on Christmas Eve
A resident from the first block of Golf Avenue reported at 1:24 p.m. that someone cut the electric cords on Christmas lights that were lighting two trees in front of their home some time that morning or afternoon, police said.
SATURDAY, DEC. 22
2 Charged with Pot Possession
William J. Meidinger, 19, of the 4600 block of Clausen Avenue in Western Springs, and Corey J. Jefko, 18, of the 4500 block of Gilbert Avenue in Western Springs, were charged with possession of cannabis after a traffic stop for driving with one tail light near the intersection of Stonegate and Ogden avenues at 1:46 a.m., police said. Meidinger, the driver, was also charged with driving without a valid license and without insurance, police said. Both were released to appear in court.
FRIDAY, DEC. 21
Driver Caught with Suspended License
Beverly Lacoco, 39, of the 4100 block of South Lowe Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop related to driving without tail lights near the intersection of Route 83 and Chicago Avenue at 10:29 p.m., police said. She was released to appear in court.
