4 More DUI Arrests Made in Hinsdale: Police Blotter

Hinsdale police reports, Aug. 28-Sept. 3.

 

Editor's note: The Hinsdale Police Department recently completed an increased DUI enforcement period prior to and over Labor Day weekend. Last week, Patch reported three DUI arrests. Four more have been made since. Complete results of the crackdown can be found here.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 2

DUI on Route 83

Clemente Morales, 51, of the 100 block of north 11th Avenue, Melrose Park, was arrested around 1 a.m. on northbound Route 83 between 59th and 55th streets, police said. Police said he was under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for improper lane use and refused an ensuing breath test.

Morales was charged with DUI, driving without a valid license, improper lane use and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on bond to appear in court.

DUI near 55th and Madison

Fernando Mojica, 23, of the 30 block of west 63rd Street, Westmont, was arrested near the intersection of 55th and Madison streets at 3:02 a.m., police said. Police said he was under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for improper lane use and failed an ensuing breath test.

Mojica was charged with two counts of DUI, driving without a valid license, improper lane use and failure to dim lights. Mojica was released on bond to appear in court.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 1

DUI on County Line Road

Kathleen B. Stack, 52, of the 5200 block of Ellington Avenue, Western Springs, was arrested on the 5500 block of south County Line Road at 12:18 a.m., police said. Police said she was under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for driving without taillights and refused an ensuing breath test.

Stack was charged with DUI, driving without taillights and improper lane use. She was released on bond to appear in court.

FRIDAY, AUG. 31

Underage Drinking

A 17-year-old male juvenile from Hinsdale was charged with unlawful use of alcohol after he was observed to be under the influence by police dispatched to the area of Oak and 6th streets at 1:33 a.m. Police were responding to a report of juveniles ringing doorbells and running.

A breath test confirmed that the juvenile had alcohol in his system. He was released on bond to appear in court.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 29

DUI

Hector D. Palacios, 22, of the 100 block of Mountain Laurel Court, Romeoville, was arrested near the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Madison Street at 2:53 a.m., police said. Police said he was under the influence of alcohol during a stop for suspicious driving and refused an ensuing breath test.

Palacios was “driving suspiciously” on several side streets in the area of Ogden and Madison before he was pulled over, the report said. He was charged with DUI, driving with a revoked license and driving without valid insurance.
