ITEMS TO BE “SOLD!” AT DISTRICT’S ANNUAL AUCTION

      Over 300 items are headed for the auction block at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s annual public sale of police-confiscated, found and surplus items on Saturday, July 28 at its Fleet Services Complex at Churchill Woods Forest Preserve, 881 W. St. Charles Road in Lombard.
      The sale features cars, trucks, golf carts, trailers and utility vehicles as well as maintenance equipment, including mowers, string trimmers, chain saws and snowblowers. Bargain hunters can shop for bicycles, canoes, cameras, fishing gear, small tools, office equipment and furniture, and much more.
      Viewing opens at 7 a.m. with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. All bidders must register for a bidder number and have a valid form of identification. There is no entry fee. The auction begins at
8:30 a.m. Large items such as vehicles, boats and motorized equipment will be sold beginning at 11 a.m.
      All items are sold as is, where is. All sales are final. Purchasers must pay in full for their purchases within one hour after the auction closes. Payment shall be made by cash, cashier’s check or certified check. Personal or business checks may also be accepted under certain criteria.
